02 Restoration services
Restoration starts with the material and the damage. Explore options for a dull floor, a marked worktop or a chipped edge, with the treatment assessed for your surface.
Deep cleaning for ingrained dirt, honing and polishing for worn finishes, and repairs where needed. The stone, its condition and your preferred finish determine the approach.
Refinishing for natural stone kitchen worktops, islands and vanity tops. Discuss dull patches, surface marks and edge damage before deciding whether polishing or repair is suitable.
Assessment and repair options for chips, cracks, worn edges and failed joints. Repair visibility and durability depend on the stone, the damage and any movement beneath it.
Describe what you can see and where it is happening. These common problems help start the discussion; the surface needs assessment before a treatment is agreed.
The surface looks flat and tired under light, and cleaning no longer brings it back.
Etching, where something acidic has sat on the stone and taken the polish off.
Damage at thresholds, worktop edges and open joints between tiles.
Marks sitting below the surface that cleaning cannot reach.
A height difference between adjacent tiles. The cause and condition of the floor need checking before levelling is considered.
Joints and silicone that have discoloured, failed or been patched in the wrong shade.
How we work
Marble and Stone Restoration Ltd provides stone care for London properties. The assessment considers the material, existing finish, damage and access, so the proposed work fits the surface.
We identify the stone, the finish it had and what has damaged it, then say what is realistically recoverable.
Cleaning, repair, honing, polishing or sealing may be proposed according to the assessment. Ask how the working area will be protected and when the surface can be used again.
How to keep the finish, which products to avoid, and when the surface will need looking at again.

04 Before you enquire
A few details help explain the problem and guide a useful conversation about restoration.
Include your postcode, approximate area and what you would like to improve. Add an overall photograph and a close-up in ordinary light, using a nearby joint or edge for scale. Mention your preferred timeframe and any previous treatments you know about.
You can still enquire. Explain where the surface is installed and describe its appearance. Photographs or an installation record can help; the material should be confirmed before a treatment is recommended.
Yes, we can quote from photos when they give us enough detail. Send an overall view, a close-up of the area that needs attention, your postcode and an approximate size. If a closer look is needed, we’ll talk it through and agree the work and price with you before we start.
Cleaning starts from £18 per m² including VAT, with a minimum job charge of £180 including VAT. Chip repairs start from £180 including VAT. The material, size, damage and work required determine the final quotation. See our starting prices and quotation guide.
No single treatment is suitable for every surface. The depth of the damage, previous repairs, stone type and any movement can limit the result. Ask what improvement is realistic and which marks or repairs may remain visible before agreeing the work.
Yes. Send us a few photos for a free quote and advice on the next step. If we need a closer look at your surface, we’ll talk it through with you before any work is agreed.
The minimum job charge is £180 including VAT (£150 plus VAT). Quotes are free. The charge for the work depends on the agreed scope.
The first discussion establishes the surface, location and problem. Any assessment arrangements, proposed treatment and quotation should be agreed before work starts.
